The Quarantine Routine


It’s easy to get bogged down by the current circumstances, but how this temporary adjustment affects you, is entirely up to you. Instead of letting the anxiety, worry and helplessness take over, spend each day doing things you’ve never done, helping those around you and, working on being the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Stay in, stay safe and stay sane. Here’s a few tips that will pull you through quarantine, while world battles COVID 19:


  1. Develop a routine
    In times that are uncertain, a sense of purpose is a must. Carve out time slots for things you need to do and, make sure that you are consistent. Set aside time for meals, exercise, work and even a hobby.
  2. Exercise regularly
    Nothing is more important that a daily dose of endorphins to keep you going long and strong. Not only does exercise build immunity but it also calms the mind and builds an appetite.
  1. Eat Healthy
    Exercise put together with good eating habits, makes for a healthy living. Try new recipes, perhaps set up a small herb garden in your kitchen and explore the chef in you. Best to cut down on the carbs and load up on the immunity boosters.
  2. Explore a New Hobby
    If not cooking, try your hand at writing or perhaps even sewing, it’s very satisfying to be able to mend things around the house. Paint, draw, read or share thoughts with friends, but make sure to keep yourself busy.
    It’s a time for us to reflect and be aware. A time for us to connect and learn how to share. Let’s aim to be the best we can be, and brighter times we shall soon see.
